Either we take care of the planet, or the planet will take care of us.

This afternoon I saw the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” and I can’t recommend strongly enough that everyone go see it. Simply put, we have one planet to live on, and if we don’t act now, the climactic changes we’ve set in motion will render large portions of the planet uninhabitable within our childrens’ lifetime, if not our own.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that we have the colllect power as human beings to solve this problem. It’s not a political problem, it’s a human problem, and therefore there’s a human solution.

I urge everyone who’s reading this post to visit this website:

See the movie, think it over and talk about it.

If you enjoy your life, if you love your friends and family, if you appreciate the planet that sustains us, then there can be no simpler moral imperative than to become radically more efficient in the way we use the Earth’s resources.

    tod the proofreader here again…

In your first paragraph you state, “…if we don’t act now, the climactic changes we’ve set in motion will render large portions of the planet inhabitable…”

If I take the rest of your post correctly, then I think you mean UNinhabitable for the last word.

Incidentally, unconfirmed reports on a couple of other blogs note that “Truth” was #9 over the weekend and was showing in only 77 theaters.
